Overview of 3d printing
3D printing is a very useful process that has been used for years with rapid prototyping and design of new things from parts on a race car to furniture. There is many types of 3D printing but the most common is FDM (Fusion Deposition Modeling). FDM uses multiple different materials that can be extruded out of the nozzle to create the same part but with different properties. PLA the most common and cheapest material is good for a basic part that wont undergo a lot of stress or heat, its basically the goldy-locks of 3D printing. ABS is another type that is really good at withstanding heat.
